Hiring A Professional

First a reality check.

To get a professional to help manage your adwords campaign on a daily ongoing basis is going to cost money... and a good one will spend a serious amount of time developing and monitoring your account to make sure it is working at it's very best.

Whilst it's impossible to give an accurate figure that will cover the variety of situations - a professional Adwords manager should check your campaigns regularly and continually make adjustments for improvement.

The process of checking an account, analysing the data, deciding on the changes needed and then making them takes time so be wary of companies that seem to offer extremely low rates for their service. They are unlikely to deliver any value.

Some Questions you might Like to Ask

Before you hire an Adwords professional, try asking the following questions.

Is the person who will manage you account a Qualified Professional

Google offer a qualification for anyone who wants to sell their services as an Adwords Management specialist.

Whilst the examination does not necessarily mean that the person will be an expert at managing Adwords accounts, it does show that they understand the mechanics of managing an account. It also shows some professional commitment on their behalf in being prepare to take the examination.

Check with the company who are proposing to manage your account that the person who will actually manage the account is an accredited Google Qualified Professional. They should be able to show you their page on Google that clearly shows they have obtained the Qualification.

Also check that a company claiming to be a Google Qualified Company will actually supply a Qualified professional.

Is there a minimum period that you have to sign up for?

Be careful not to find yourself tied to a long term contract. Some Adwords managers insist on a minimum sign up period because they know that a lot of their work will be upfront and they want to be sure that you will remain with them beyond that first month.

However the real way they should convince you to stay with them is by delivering value. If they are delivering you more return than they are costing then it's a very easy decision for you to stay with them.

Are they Going to be Open about what they are doing?

Believe it or not some companies actually won't tell the customer what they are doing and why. If they are any good they will have a strategy.

The should know what they plan to do with your account over the coming months. Not to the exact detail but they should be able to clearly explain the tests they are planning and how they will improve performance as they continue to manage your account.
