If, like me, you have contributed to the debates about the next new features that Google should include in Webmaster then you will have seen many posts requesting (pleading, demanding!!) that the missing links report include something to tell you where the bad link is coming from.
Well they have finally implemented this change.
What has this got to do with free links?
Simply put, you can now find out who has typed bad link to your site and help them change it to a good link.
Matt Cutts explains it really well in his Gadgets, Google and SEO blog. He also has a link to a really useful post on creating a customisable 404 page so that you can pick up any visitors that follow a broken link to your site.
