Website Promotion Q&A February 2010

Once again we hosted a Q&A session on Website Promotion.

Just like last month it was well attended and the questions were great.

I recorded the webinar for those that couldn’t make it.

The scope was again broad with some of the keypoints covering topics such as:

  • SEO
  • Adwords Click Fraud
  • Facebook Fan Pages for Business
  • Chat Boxes in Emails

Hi Mike, I´m sorry I was not able to participate to this webinar but it´s really great that you post the webinars here to have a chance to listen to them when we can. Thank you for your answer. You gave me a lot of guidlines to such a general question and starting from this I have now an idea of how to aproach such a website.

I have 1 more question in my mind:

I have optimized the website of one of my clients for some very targeted keywords and I´ve got a successful bounce rate of 0%. When we send an email the bounce rate is going up in that day to 1%-4%. I know it´s normal to happen like this but my question is what is an acceptable bounce rate for PPC or for emails/newsletters. From your experience, is there a difference in bounce rate between different campaign channels (PPC, newsletters, advert emails etc)?

You said in the webinar that none of the tools you have tried by now to track the competitors satisfied you. I am using Web CEO from a while (sorry to make publicity like this) and i use it also to check the competitors´ ranking and to see how do they evolve. I find it pretty good and I am really impressed of how many features they have included in the free version. Plus a very prompt customer service. Did you have the chance to try their app? If yes, have you foudn the information accurate?
