Java scripted menus are very visitor friendly and many web developers like to use them. However, the search engine spiders (or bots) cannot follow any links in these menus and therefore they cannot index any pages that the menus are pointing to.
This can be a real problem if your site navigation relies heavily on your menu buttons. You may find that most of your site is not reachable and cannot be indexed.
If you are using Java script and you are wondering why some of your site is not being listed in Google and the other search engines then this is a likely cause.
