What is the Account Snapshot page?
Your AdWords Account Snapshot page is an easy-to-read, comprehensive source of key account information. It features:
- Important account and campaign alerts and status updates
- A performance overview with configurable statistics and graphs for your advertising costs, clicks, impressions, CTR, conversion rate and more
- Links to helpful tips and other resources to help you get the most out of AdWords
If your Account Snapshot page is not already set as your AdWords starting page, you can do so by
clicking the link at the bottom of your Campaign Summary page. You can always switch back to Campaign Summary as your starting page at any time by
clicking a similar link at the bottom of your Account Snapshot page.
How to set up or change the account alert preferences
Your Account Snapshot page automatically displays critical account alerts related to payment problems,
pending budget end dates, credit and bank card expiry, ad disapprovals etc. Basically anything that would
cause your ads to stop showing.
The alerts are also sent to your Google Account email address (you can change this address on
your 'Account Preferences' page).
Additional account performance alerts and tips, AdWords programme announcements and special offers can also be received through
settings on your 'Notification Preferences' page.
Here is how to set up your alert preferences:
- Sign in to your AdWords account, then, within the 'My Account' tabbed section, select 'Account Preferences'
and click on the link for Notification Preferences.
- On the 'Notification Preferences' page, you will see alert categories for Billing, Disapproved ads and
Campaign maintenance issues, as well as listings for Customised help and performance suggestions, newsletters
and research information
- To the right of each category, select your preferred delivery methods using the pull-down menus (for alerts)
and tick boxes (for suggestions, newsletters and research). You can receive alerts online (at your Account Snapshot page),
by email (at your registered Google Account address), and by mobile phone (through SMS text messages). Other messages can
be received by email. (Note that additional set up is required to receive phone alerts).
- Click Save Changes to save your preferences and begin receiving alerts and notifications based on your selections.
